Abstract: A new and distinct variety of miniature rose plant particularly distinguished by its profuse production of small, Lemon Yellow flowers growing on a small, compact, upright bush having a height of about 17 cm. at six weeks of growth with a main stem length of 10 to 12 cm. from the last flower cut and a vigorous, free branching growth habit with small but abundant foliage.
Claim: We claim:

1. The new and distinct miniature pot rose plant, substantially as herein shown and described, characterized by its profuse production of small Yellow Orange colored flowers having adiameter of about 4 cm. or less borne on a small, compact bush having a height of about 18 cm. and a vigorous, compact, upright growth habit.
Description: BACKGROUND OF THE NEW PLANT

This plant originated as a hybrid seedling developed by us at Kvistgaard, Denmark by crossing an unnamed seedling selected from our collection at our Denmark nursery with pollen from the variety `Texas`, U.S. Plant Pat. No. 6,261 with theobject of developing a Yellow long lasting miniature rose which does not fade in color. The present seedling derived from the said hybrid was selected for propagation because of its profuse production of relatively small flowers carried singly onstrong, straight stems growing in a raceme manner from a main stem of a plant having a total height of about 17 cm. The flower color of Lemon Yellow with a diameter of 31/2 to 4 cm. appeared to meet our objectives and accordingly this selected seedlingwas asexually reproduced by us at our Denmark nursery both by means of cuttings as well as budding on stock with such pleasing results that such propagation was continued through several successive generations which demonstrated conclusively that thenovel characteristics of the original selected seedling were carried on from generation to generation and appeared to be firmly fixed. At present, propagation is carried on by means of cuttings in pots for pot forcing and this is done in Denmark as wellas in Japan.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

Our miniature rose plant is illustrated by the accompanying full color photographic drawings which show face views of a pair of fully opened flowers together with views of the upper side and the under side of a typical leaf of the new plant, thecolors shown being as nearly true to those herein specified as is possible to obtain by conventional photographic procedures.
