Abstract: A hybrid tea rose variety having an attractive high centered white flower with pleasing fragrance coupled with heavy continuous flower production on long straight stems. Also, these flowers occasionally have foliaceous sepals.
Claim: I claim:

1. A new and distinct variety of rose plant of the hybrid tea class, substantially as herein shown and described, characterized particularly as to novelty by the unique combination of anattractive high centered white flower with pleasing fragrance coupled with heavy continuous flower production on long straight stems. Also, these flowers occasionally have foliaceous sepals.
Description: This present invention relates to a new and distinct variety of rose plant of the hybrid tea class which was originated by crossing the variety Bernadette, unpatented, with the variety Coquette, U.S. Plant Pat. No. 4,019.

The primary objective of this breeding was to produce a new rose variety of the hybrid tea class with white flowers suitable for greenhouse cut flower production. This objective was substantially achieved along with other desirable improvementsas evidenced by the following unique combination of characteristics which are outstanding in the new variety and which distinguish it from its parents as well as from all other varieties of which I am aware:

1. Heavy and continuous production;

2. Strong pleasing fragrance;

3. Attractive white flower;

4. Occasional foliaceous sepals; and

5. Long straight stems.

Asexual reproduction of this new variety by budding, as performed at Wasco, Calif., shows that the foregoing characteristics and distinctions come true to form and are established and transmitted through succeeding propagations.

Theaccompanying illustration shows typical specimens of the vegetative growth and flowers of this new variety in different stages of development, depicted in color as nearly true as it is reasonably possible to make the same in a color illustration of thischaracter.

The following is a detailed description of my new rose cultivar with color in terminology in accordance with The Royal Horticultural Society Colour Chart except where ordinary dictionary significance of color is indicated.
