Connecting element for a mechanically and electrically conductive connection

Image Number 6 for United States Patent #7238880.

The invention relates to a connecting element (11, 21, 41, 51) for a mechanically and electrically conductive connection, comprising at least one expansion element (14, 15, 16, 17, 23, 24, 44, 45) which is tensed in a recess which is arranged in the outer contour of the electric conductor (12, 13). The tensing of the at least one expansion element in the recess occurs by means of control elements (18, 26, 47, 48, 56, 57).
