Description: Subject matter which relates to means intended solely for the purpose of and adapted to (a) adjust the frequency setting of a carrier wave generation means or determine the output frequency or some other characteristics of a transmitter means; (b) adjust the frequency setting of a local oscillator, a tuning means or other stages of a receiver means in accordance with a standard frequency; c) compare the frequency of a resonant input or output circuit of a receiver or transmitter with a standard frequency for the purpose of setting a tuning position indicator or dial to correspond to maximum transmitter or receiver output at the standard frequency; and (d) determine the operating characteristics of the whole or selected components of the system under prescribed conditions of operation.
