Description: Electrical connector wherein the clamping pressure exerted on a contact or conductor to be secured is caused by the action of (a) the turning motion of a clamping member of gradually increasing radius, (b) the turning motion of an eccentrically mounted clamping member, (c) the straight-line motion of a clamping member having diverging opposed surfaces, or (d) the motion of a clamping member relative to a curved, inclined, or tapered surface; which movable clamping member exerts a clamping pressure on the contact or conductor to be secured between the said movable clamping member and an abutting surface of the clamp connector.
